Craig Emerson MP’s song and dance routine over the carbon tax was inspired and brilliant.
The Opposition (including Tony Abbott and Joe Hockey) are all cut up about it, branding it a “stunt” and claiming that it makes fun of ordinary, hard working Australians.
In fact, I think the whole thing was designed to pour scorn and defiance in the direction of the scare-mongering Opposition.
It was daggy, stupid and funny. And in my view, there isn’t enough fun going around, so WHY NOT?
(Hardly any of this would make sense if you are not Australian, or if you are unaware of the politics of the carbon tax).
