I started writing this at Easter time but I never finished it because it was proving to be far too big an area for my brain to cope with. It is, after all, the biggest story of them all. Maybe this was never meant to be finished, but only tinkered with, patched up and scribbled out, year after year.
I admit defeat, for now, but defeat is only temporary and transient in the face of mystery.

As soon as I finish writing these stoopid mid-year reports, which might be two or so hours from now, I’ll be able to start tumblring again. I wish we could do away with these reports and replace them with some online Ultranetty tick-a-box individual learning plan type document that shows parents the work their child can do.
